Priest vestments with arabesques and floral motifs
The Iviron Monastery of Mount Athos served as the foundation and source of inspiration for this design, while the style of the embroidery reflects the workshops of the Cretan school of the 16th century.
The floral embroidery of this priest vestment begins on the felonion, at the chest, continues all around the lower part, and ends at the back, forming a central element that rises almost to the icon. The floral elements harmoniously frame the crosses on the epitrachelion, cuffs, and belt, and the Holy Vessel coverings are embroidered in the same style as the vestment. The rich embroidery, the fully embroidered epitrachelion, and the embroidered trim outlining each piece of the vestment give it remarkable beauty and elegance.
The felonion is adorned with an icon of the Saviour, and at the customer’s request it can be replaced with another icon at no additional cost.
The vestment is embroidered with blue silk thread in combination with gold thread.
The exceptional quality of the embroidery threads and the other materials used in these vestments ensures that this product maintains its beauty and durability over time.
Upon request, these priestly vestments with arabesques and floral motifs can be made in any color desired by the client, and the embroidery is done to match the chosen color.
