The Iviron Monastery on Mount Athos was the basis for the conception of this model, being the source of inspiration, and the embroidery as a style can be found in the workshops of the Cretan school from the 16th century.
The priestly vestment is adorned with rich floral embroidery that begins at the front, from the chest, and ends at the back of the phelonion forming a central element that rises almost to the icon. The epitrachelion features crosses beautifully framed by floral elements, a pattern also found on the cuffs, belt, and the coverings for the Holy Vessels.
